First Baptist Incorporated and the Public School System

How much will a so called Church fight against those trying to promote biblical truth in regard to Education of Christian Children when it is overly influenced and populated with public educators and high dollar and high profile politicians?

Lets have an example strait from a Southern Baptist Corporation located in Leesburg Florida AKA "First Baptist Church of Leesburg Florida Incorporated", Pastor Charles Rosel.

A very good friend of mine was in " membership" standing at this denomination bastion of "Biblical Standards" a little while back. He was under great conviction that the Public School System was destroying Christian children and thought it would be great if a denomination body such as the Florida Baptist Convention would make a public affirmation that Christians need to remove their children from public school and place them in either Church Schools or Home-school situations.

He went to the Florida Convention meeting and was going to attempt to have a resolution placed on the floor for just such a purpose. Long story short, they refused to address the issue through some "cut you off at the knees diplomacy, and my friend left after admonishing them for their sin against children.

He then gave a few Interviews with local media about the plight of Public Schools and the Christian's mandate to be responsible for their children's education etc.

When he returned home he found in part the following Email addressed to him ( and Others)


"I can not begin to describe how disappointed and frustrated I am with Dr. Dreyfuss's actions last week at the Florida Baptist State Convention.

It is nothing but pure, absolute disregard for pastoral leadership. I specifically stated that you (Bob) were not a representative of First Baptist Leesburg, that you could not bring a resolution, that you were not allowed to speak in regards the public school issue at the convention. So...one of the staff members brings me today a copy of the Florida Baptist Witness, showing that you (Bob) totally disregarded our pastoral directives on every single issue...."

"It is still needed but we need to dialogue about ways for it to work more closely with the ministry goals of FBC if it is to continue on as a ministry team."


Lessons to be learned....

Money speaks louder then standards at FBC INC. Leesburg.

THE New International Version that FBC INC. has decided to use instead of a Bible has led to compromise.

FBC INC. Leesburg and their LEADERSHIP are apostate in regard to standards and separation.

THE SBC INC. is full of LEADERSHIP in SYMPATHY with the communists, modernists and secular humanists in the public school system.

A big building with lots of people in it singing religious songs and getting lectured to on religious topics does not equal a Church with Jesus as LORD.
